The band of Thomas Helmig for his 2nd and 3rd albums in and Several members, Claes Antonsen, Uffe Fink Isaksen and Palle Torp had played with Helmig in their highschool band Elevatordrengene as well as backed him on his first solo album. The members quickly came in demand as session and live musicians and became the backbone in many acts out of Aarhus of the era.

His next albums was released as by Thomas Helmig Brothers, a band that included members from Elevatordrengene. Throughout the 80's and 90's Helmig had several hits and was stadium league as a live act. In the 80's he sang almost exclusively in danish but changed for english in the 90's.
