As part of this work, three young women, Gaby Renehan, Lorraine Monaghan and Najma Abukar were selected to take part in a film project. Working with Urbancroft Films based in Glasgow, the young women were given training and support to enable them to contact and interview a range of participants.

On the Sunday, Najma Abukar, a photographer originally from Somalia, and Tawona Sithole, a poet originally from Zimbabwe, will have their portraits painted. Both are refugees here in Scotland, and both their home countries of Somalia and Zimbabwe are within the Christian Aid network.
