There is no meaning to the name Wadhwani. As I was told by my elders, our community is named 'ani' after the name of head of family. So, our head of family sometime was 'Wadumal' or 'Waduram'. Thats how we are Wadhwani. In olden days they kept changing Surnames with the wish to keep it following head of family member. But now this custome does not exist.
