Jamie Hobdy, 18, of the Hill District, is accused of robbing the PNC Bank branch at Fifth Avenue Place, Downtown, of $989 after passing a teller a threatening note. The robbery occurred Aug. 5. Police said in an affidavit that Hobdy confessed.

Jamie Hobdy, a Peabody High School senior, was calling to say she had been charged with robbing a bank. City police detectives claim Jamie Hobdy walked into the PNC Bank branch at Fifth Avenue Place, Downtown, at 3:55 p.m. Aug. 5 and made off with $989 after passing a teller a note.
