Inge Koch was appointed Professor of Statistics and Data Science in the Department of Mathematics and Statistics, UWA, and started this position earlier this year. Inge’s research focusses on multivariate and high-dimensional data, analysis of such data, and application of new statistical approaches to different domains.

· Professor Koch has a distinguished career in statistics that spans 28 years. She completed her PhD in statistics at the Australian National University in 1991, joining the University of Newcastle the same year as a Statistician. From 2003, she taught statistics at the University of New South Wales.
