Master percussionist Abdou Mboup was born in the small town of Kebemer, Senegal to a family of oral historians and musicians. Since that time he’s toured the globe with South African trumpeter Hugh Masekela, and later collaborated with Pharoah Sanders, Randy Weston, Nina Simone, John Lurie, Harry Belafonte and countless others.
