Stone fox, see grave stele of Fostein Albert (died on 16 10th 1677) and his wife Catrine Rodiek on the northern side entrance of würigen, 1000 years old Gaukirche Ganderkesee in Delmenhorst. The grave stele shows a "talking coat of arms" (two foxes on the right and left of a large stone), see the adjacent tombs with the names Vosteen as such in the church cemetery. The Low German surname is derived from his own farm in Vosteen Steinkimmen. My own ancestors were Vosteen first large-scale farmers or as Nnachgeborene Brinksitzer in Elmeloh (now part of Ganderkesee) and later lived nearby in Delmenhorst. Albert V. and his brother William V was my 8th Great-grandfather.
